Hello Robert and Jenny -
I hope you will remember me and my family from Rome in the 60's. My mom Bee and dad Jose have both passed away, along with my sister Michele who died young, but my younger brother Greg and I are well and living in the States now ever since leaving Rome way back in 1965. Seems like another lifetime for sure, but I often think of you Jenn in particular, as I have the beautiful sculpture that your dad did of you (as a child standing when you were about 8 yrs old) in my entry hall, and Greg has the rearing horse on a turning pedestal that is so very handsome and prized by both of us. Mom and Dad sure treasured your works and had a fine eye, passing these treasured pieces to us, so your talent and the "Cooks" are never too far away in reality. I wonder where you live now Jenn and how we can contact one another. I live in Southern California and Greg in Connecticut, both of us with two children each, mine pretty full grown (28 and 29) and Greg's 17 and 16. Would love to return to Rome one day, and am so pleased to find your beautiful website and see recent works. Congratulations Robert, and do let me know if you ever get to CA or CT for a show and Jenn as well - my email is barbara@todocast.tv. Best regards, Barbara |

Hi Henry! Was just thinking about you guys, and wondered if your Dad is still in good shape and still sculpting. Do you still have the flat in London, and how are things going with the band in Boston? My mother was reading and really enjoying your mother's second book ("Notes from a Roman Terrace") when she went into the hospital in March 2004 with breathing difficulties; sadly, they managed to kill her off with a kidney infection in May, and I miss her terribly. I was also sad to hear from my Dad (who died at 90 in February 2009) that your mother had died in Rome (unexpectedly) around the same time as my mother.
Anyway, I miss you all, and would love to know if everybody is okay. I've been living in boring, old Sweden (with lots of digestive difficulties, but good doctors) for almost 5 years now, and my two children are teenagers. If my health were better, I'd make a bee-line to Italy, France, back to Princeton...anywhere more interesting!
Best wishes,
Caroline |

April 8, 2010 - Ciao, Robert, Henry, Jenny,
And a Hello, Happy Birthday to Robert, from Elizabeth Williams on the Gulf Coast South. I just wanted to acknowledge what a beautiful website created here, which features so excellently Robert's work. The video featuring Henry's exquisite music and Robert's mobiles is a delight. I recall so well and fondly, the occasion of January 2007, when Robert and Jenny were here in Mobile, Alabama for the dedication of A FAMILY ALBUM IN BRONZE in its new, permanent home with the Mobile Museum of Art. It was a surprise reunion for me with Jenny and Robert, which remains one of my most cherished times here on the Gulf Coast South. I'll look forward to checking in here on this fine website.
Fond regards,
Elizabeth Williams-DeReine |

Hello Robert,
You may not remember me, but we met many years ago at your fathers home in Milton Massachusetts. You and your family were very hospitable, and I still have the photo sculpture book of Jenny and Henry. I came upon an old calender collection of Travelers Ins. from 1936 onward that your Dad had bequithed to my wife Nancy. In the box, was a newsletter from the MGH with a photo of you and your dad on the cover the day you dedicated the statue in memory of Bettina. I would like to send it to you as a family keepsake. My Nancy passed away in 2006 of a massive heart attack, and for the past four years I have relocated and been redefining my mission in life. Her two daughters and grandaughter as well as myself value all the past treasures be it photo or letters, and for this reason when I came upon this flyer with such a great photo of you and your dad, I felt it belongs in your family's possession. So please Robert let me know where to send it. My e-mail address is manganda@bc.edu I am employed at Boston College Newton Law school manager dining services.
Sincerely,
David |

Hi Henry,
I’m putting together a series of short radio programs for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation on iconic works of art in public places in Canberra A.C.T. One of the pieces I was hoping to feature is Thespis. I am interested in speaking with you about the piece and was wondering if you might be able to help me??
We could do it by phone and I’d be looking for an interview of about 10 minutes. I’d like to you about the inspiration for the piece, his thoughts on its placement in the city, any stories regarding its creation etc.
I look forward to hearing from you
regards
